what is beautiful

Created for the national contest for safe driving, “What is beautiful” is a one-minute film that takes us to Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd. in Sofia for a one fast ride.

Everything starts with the idea to be like a luxury presentation for expensive car, but with unespective and bad end. I had never seen anything like this before, so I was really drawn to do it.

The most difficult thing was to make a plan how to do everything in just a six weeks. I started with the girl and since she was playing the driver and the main focus would be on her, she needed more attention to every detail. A lot of time I spent working on her, to choose her dress, her hairstyle, and so on. But by the time I finished her, I also had cleared up the vision for everything else, what kind of car exactly I want in the movie, where I want the main action to be, the music, everything.

Of course there were a lot… a lot of bumps on the way to the final film. In some moment I even started sending scenes to friends for faster rendering, and I used a render farm for some shots too. Everything that needed to be done was done for this movie to be finished on time, and the most importantly, without any compromises about the vision and the idea.

Fortunately, the movie win the contest.
